About the Role

As our Community Manager, you will be at the forefront of building and engaging a dynamic, pan-African community. You’ll work directly with the Growth Lead and cross-functional teams to transform Tech Safari from a newsletter and social media pages into Africa’s most influential tech media brand. In this role, you will:
- Own our community building strategy: Develop and implement initiatives that drive faster newsletter growth, higher engagement, and active participation across our social channels.
- Enhance content distribution: Repurpose high‑performing content across channels to engage different segments of our community.
- Build our video and creative content strategy: Support the creation of compelling video content that amplifies our community’s voice and showcases success stories.
- Drive marketing automation and reporting: Leverage analytics and experiment with creative growth engines (from merchandise and contests to viral campaigns) to boost engagement.
- Support our rebrand: Assist in rolling out updated messaging and visuals to position Tech Safari as the trusted voice in African tech.
- Support in-person and online events: Plan and execute social content for virtual and on‑the‑ground events that attract founders, investors, and tech innovators.
You Should Apply If:
- You’ve successfully grown engaged communities or content platforms (B2B and/or tech-focused).
- You have a deep understanding of the African tech ecosystem.
- You can balance complex data with creative, exciting content.
- You have a working knowledge of how to create video content.
- You’re comfortable being a “team of one” (for now) and taking initiative.
